These earrings are named for Edith Wharton. She was a writer and designer who drew upon her insider's knowledge of the upper-class New York "aristocracy." These earrings are crafted out of beautiful Smokey Quartz drops dipped in 14 Kt electroplated gold and hang from oxidized Vermeil earrings topped with faceted CZ's.

She is best known for her books that realistically told about the secret lives of the uber wealthy in Gilded Age. In 1921, she became the first woman to win the Pulitzer Prize in Fiction, for her novel, The Age of Innocence. They are restrained and classy with a little something extra - we think Edith would have loved these!
